3 day session for start up India entrepreneurs in chemical engineering

Nandini Consultancy Centre, a chemical engineering and chemical business consultancy organization based at Chennai and Singapore will  conduct  guidance course for start up India Entrepreneurs in chemical and allied industries for 3 days from May 29 to 31, 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m in its Chennai premises (No.1, 18th Cross Street Besant Nagar)..
 ‘The objective of the course is to provide guidance for Start Up India entrepreneurs interested in chemical and allied industries to identify appropriate project and implement them, with clear understanding of the available opportunities, various management techniques, trade opportunities, regulatory issues and government policies’  press release of the company said.
Persons aspiring to set up industrial projects in chemical and allied sector, business managers and students are welcome to attend the course. There is no age limit but understanding of English is essential.
Course covers various aspects of chemical business management relating to Indian and global scenario and provide guidance about conducting the pre investment studies and deciding the strategies for investment and implementation and operation of the project. Many case studies would be discussed to provide good understanding of the participants.
The Government of India has announced start up India scheme to encourage the first generation entrepreneurs to set up projects

Awareness of blood donation among students

Alpha NCC Unit [1 (TN) ARMD SQN NCC] and Department of Physical Education, Alpha Arts and Science College in association with blood bank, Institute of Child Health & Hospital for Children, Egmore, organized blood donation drive “Share Blood – Share Life” on Jan.12  in College campus  to create social responsibilities in blood donation among the cadets and students of their college.
This camp helped students in getting awareness and showed enthusiastic participation for the same.
The drive was initiated by Dr. D. Ashalatha, Principal, Alpha Arts & Science College, Porur, Mr. Bala Samuvel .J, Caretaker, 1 [TN] Armd Sqn NCC, & A. Dermiz Alwin, Physical Director, Alpha Arts And Science College,  played a key role in successful organization of the event.
Total 120 volunteers including 45 NCC cadets, staff members, participated in preliminary onsite medical screening for health history, blood haemoglobin level, body weight and blood pressure, nearly 101 individuals were selected for the donation.
Apart from Cadets and students few staff members working in the college voluntarily participated in the camp.
Refreshment and appreciation certificate were given to donors.

DADTRI conducts ‘Walkathan’ on Feb.5


To commemorate the world cancer day (Feb.4), Datri (a blood stem cell donors registry functioning at TICEL Bio Park Phase II, 12th floor, CSIR Road, Taramani, Chennai 600113) has organized ‘Walkathon’ on February 5 at Marina Beach, Chennai.
The walk will start from Labour Statue and will end at light house covering a distance of 6 km.
According to its press release, the walk is organized to create awareness on how blood cancers are curable.
The world cancer day is observed to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and educating about the disease, pressing governments and its agencies across the world to take action’ it said.
Apart from creating awareness, it also plans to register potential blood stem cell donors.
Those who want to take part in the walk should register in advance.
The registration fee is Rs.300 but students are allowed free.
About 300 persons are expected to participate in the walk.

Mass hanuman chalisa paarayanam on Jan. 29



The Avadhoota Datta Peetham (Velachery) has organized a mass hanuman chalisa parayanam (chanting) between 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Jan.29 at A.M. Jain College Grounds, Meenambakkkam.
Sri Ganapathi Sachidhanandha Swamiji will lead the chanting.
All are welcome to participate in this program. It is desired that participants may register with the ashram at the earliest.
There are no charges for participation in this program.
The registrations will help them to arrange the infrastructure properly.
Chairs, water bottles and ‘Maha Prasadam’ will be arranged at the venue.
Around 40,000 persons are expected to participate in the event.
